Dr David Moon’s research examines how politics is enacted, performed, and made meaningful across institutional and popular domains, offering a critical perspective on conventional understandings of political engagement.
His work spans rhetorical analysis, territorial politics (with a focus on the UK), and political communication, with particular attention to the performative and ideological dimensions of political life—from political rhetoric and intra-party competition to celebrity politicians, fandom, and professional wrestling as a source of conceptual insight.
Across these diverse topics, his scholarship is united by an overarching interest in the practices through which individuals and groups engage with, embody, and interpret the political.
