Personal profile

Research interests

Having qualified in 2010 as a Physiotherapist from Coventry University, Charli quickly focussed her career on full time professional and performance sport. Undertaking two MSc programmes at various stages of her working life, it was these that sparked her interest in picking apart injury in a research capacity. Charli currently focusses her time on her full time PhD as part of the Professional Rugby Injury Surveillance Project (PRISP) study, examining injuries on differing pitch surfaces in professional, men's rugby union.

Her research interests are primarily in the epidemiological study of sports injuries, injury prevention and athlete health. Charli has a passion for developing practical application to data produced in her work.

She is also currently part of the Centre for Health, Injury & Illness in Sport (CHi2PS) management team, cresting content for the web/social media presence of the centre.
