Personal profile

Research interests

My research interests focus on ageing, health and wellbeing. Recent projects have examined the role of physical activity in shaping expectations and experiences of ageing; the impact of late onset sight loss in older adults on being physically active; the use of outdoor environments (e.g. ‘green’ and ‘blue’ space) to manage and promote wellbeing; and patient experiences of chronic illness. My research is underpinned by an ongoing commitment to the use and development of qualitative methods to address complex health issues.

Willing to supervise PhD

I am interested in supervising new PhD projects in areas which fall under the research interests listed above. Please contact me direct to discuss further.
