Research interests
Dr Brian Blacklidge qualified in 1975 and subsequently took up post as GP in North Yorkshire in 1979. He has been an accredited GPSI in MSk medicine since 2002 and this is currently his main role.
He was Club Doctor at Middlesbrough Football Club from 2001-2013 and after this time continued to provide input on a sessional basis.
He has been involved in the MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine programme since 2006, and was appointed as Clinical Teaching Fellow in 2010. He is responsible for the delivery of the Sports Doctor and Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation modules. He also acts as one of the Lead PDAs for the Sport and Exercise Medicine in Practice module.
