Research interests

I joined the the Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies in 2017. I was a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) in Freiburg, Germany. I was also a Lecturer in Politics at the Loughborough University in 2015.

My work focuses on the politics of technology, how digital technologies condition political agency as well as political speech. I published an article on algorithms and rhetoric where I examine the power relations at play when speeches are published on social media platforms in terms of visibility and prioritisation.

I also published (with Sophia Hatzisavvidou) an article 'Beyond Technofix' on the political theory of the Anthropocene by looking at the role of technology through the doctrines of Ambient Prometheanism and Epimethean politics (in revisiting the Ancient Greek myth of Epimetheus/Prometheus).
