Accepting Doctoral Students

Personal profile

Research interests

My research focusses on mathematical biology and microscale fluid dynamics, along with the intersection between these fields. I am broadly interested in mathematical methods and their applications to biological or biophysical problems, from the use of asymptotics in the study of microscale swimmers to the development of mathematically tractable models of solid tumour growth, and lots in between.

Available to develop bespoke applications in VisualPDE for visualisation, exploration, and knowledge exchange.

Willing to supervise doctoral students

I can offer a very wide variety of projects that span mathematical biology and low-Reynolds-number fluid dynamics, from biologically driven research questions to more abstract, bio-inspired methodological development.

Teaching interests

I am currently involved in the design and implementation of VisualPDE, a set of tutorials and a playground for exploring spatial mathematics, including Turing patterns and quantum phenomena.
