I joined the School of Management as a Teaching Fellow in Finance (AFL) in 2017. Since 2014, I have been a Doctoral Researcher and Seminar Leader at Alliance Manchester Business School (fully funded by The University of Manchester, Presidential Scholarship Award, plus ESRC Studentship). I hold an MBA in Banking from SOAS, University of London (2012), an MSc in Quantitative Finance: Risk Management from Manchester Business School (2014, Distinction; Scholarship for Excellent International Students), and a BSc in Corporate Banking (2009, Bonn, Germany).
Before studying full time at Manchester Business School, I have been working in the banking industry in Corporate Banking and Risk Management in Germany for 22 years. My banking practice included positions as Senior Business Consultant and Credit Officer for Multinational Companies at Deutsche Bank (HQ, Frankfurt).
My research interests tie in with my industry experience in corporate finance and banking. In my empirical PhD thesis, I investigated corporate debt, private debt renegotiation, credit rating, and capital structure adjustments.
