Research interests

Having completed a PhD in sociology and social policy at the University of Durham, I joined the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences/Department for Health at the University of Bath. My research interests centre on the deployment of a broad range of methodologies to investigate the city and issues of urbanism, placemaking, and tourism. I have additional interest in examining human interaction and organisational culture with an emphasis on technology, surveillance, and social control. My work has been funded by the Jiangsu Provincial Government (PR, China), The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and The British Council.
