My research background is in environmental biotechnology and microbiology, where I worked on biological wastewater treatment systems, in particular for nutrient removal - phosphorus and nitrogen. I am currently interested in integrating the existing knowledge on complex microbial systems for wastewater treatment using both experimental and modelling techniques.
