Personal profile

Research interests

I am a research assistant in the Institute for Policy Research here at the University of Bath. My research interests lie in government and politics, international relations and its relationship to religion. I am currently assisting Prof Nick Pearce on several projects.

I am also undertaking my PhD at the University of Bristol with an interest in nineteenth century monasticism, architectural memory, diplomatic negotiation in religious communities, and the use of medieval history in collective memory. I am currently working on the life of Edmund Ford,  medieval myth making and the constitutional crisis that engulfed the creation of Downside Abbey. I have also worked on other aspects of Downside’s history, particularly Ford's relationship with the Foreign Office during WWI.
