Personal profile

Research interests

I am currently a PhD Student based at the Milner Centre for Evolution, University of Bath, UK. My PhD project focuses on changes in genes and genome evolution, gene families, alternative splicing and gene expression patterns, and the impact of genes on longevity in mammals. In my research, I analyse large datasets using bioinformatic tools and comparative genomics approaches.

I completed my Master’s degree in Molecular Medicine at Yeditepe University, Istanbul and my Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics at the Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus.
