Research interests

I am Reader in Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems at the University of Bath. My research lies in engine air systems and their performance optimization over real-life duty cycles using new design and simulation methods. Current research includes prediction of compressor surge and transient response in heavy-duty diesel engines, and organic Rankine cycle turboexpanders for vehicle waste heat recovery. I have prior research experience in electric turbocharger design, twin- entry turbine modelling, and fundamental research in unsteady flow in turbocharger turbines. I have six years of industrial experience with Caterpillar Inc. and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.
