The Applied Digital Behaviour Lab is an interdisciplinary research group that investigates how people interact with, are shaped by, and can be harmed by digital technologies. Its work spans cybersecurity behaviours, digital health and wellbeing, online harms and extremism, social influence and manipulation, and the relationship between personality and digital data. The lab also conducts research into healthcare using large-scale administrative data, the ethics and governance of AI, privacy and trust, and human-computer interaction. Underpinning this work is a commitment to methodological innovation, including open science, computational reproducibility, and ethical frameworks for behavioural data research.
