The Design and Manufacturing research undertaken at Bath is Interdisciplinary in nature and covers all the lifecycle stages for products, processes and systems. Example research across the lifecycle include creativity in the early design stages, creation of new materials and processes, lifecycle modelling (Life-Cycle Assessment, Whole Life Costing, Whole Life Value, System Dynamics), Design Methods and Manufacturing Systems. The research undertaken by the Advanced Design and Manufacturing Centre at Bath is industry facing and at its core utilises Data, Information and Knowledge to aid future manufacturing.
