Response to the call for evidence focusing on the links between urban environments and health written by Dr Geoff Bates (University of Bath), Dr Andrew Barnfield (University of Bristol) & Professor Sarah Ayres (University of Bristol) and submitted as University of Bath & University of Bristol: Tackling the Root causes Upstream of Unhealthy Urban Development (TRUUD) research programme. The response answers DHSC's questions 'how can we support people to tackle the risk factors for ill health', 'how can we make better use of research, data and digital technologies to improve outcomes for people with, or at risk of developing, the major conditions'
