Description

The talk showcased how the "exams" R package can create randomised cloze-type quiz questions for learning management systems like Moodle. The focus was on cloze-type questions, which combine multiple answer formats (numerical, text, multi-response). Randomisation is applied to data, sub-question generation, and question order. An example question on hypothesis testing was used to demonstrate the generation of random data, the randomisation of test types (left, right or two-tails) and the coding of the correct answers based on the randomised test. A brief discussion on how to integrate such randomised assessment in a UK setting followed.
