Painting Willingness to Communicate in Watercolour: Can You See It?

How do we see someone’s willingness to communicate in a classroom, and how do we see our own? In this public engagement session, we’ll explore these questions through watercolour. Participants will experiment with colours and paints to express moments when communication is comfortable, inspiring, or challenging. As we create and share our paintings, participants will be invited to reflect on the various ways students could demonstrate their readiness to communicate. Collectively, this reflective process helps us embrace different voices and recognise the diverse forms communication can take.

This session was part of the public engagement series, titled 'Catalysts for Change: Empowering Qualitative Doctoral Research through Public Engagement,' funded by the Student Change Fund.
