The International Collaborative Research Symposium, held on 25-26 October 2024 at National Taiwan Normal University, focuses on the theme of "Collaborative Construction of Knowledge through English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI)." Organised by the English Department and the Center for Teaching and Learning Development, and funded by the Yushan Fellowship from Taiwan's Ministry of Education, the symposium brings together scholars and educators to explore various aspects of EMI across disciplines. Key sessions include discussions on conceptual change in EMI teaching in ecology and ethnomusicology, multilingual practices in classical music education in Austria, and innovative EMI projects in architecture and interior design. The symposium aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and improve EMI teaching practices globally.
