Hosted a research visit by Dr Yan Jiang (Zhejiang University, China) following our participation in ISMB/ECCB 2025 in Liverpool, UK. During the visit, we held focused research discussions on our ongoing collaboration on plasmid-mediated antimicrobial resistance, including the manuscript “Heterogeneous multicopy blaCTX-M variants on a single plasmid enhance evolutionary adaptability in clinical Klebsiella pneumoniae”, which has since been accepted by Nature Communications.
The visit also supported the development of a new collaborative project on expanding the TolC efflux repertoire in Klebsiella pneumoniae using pretrained protein language models, which was presented as a poster at ISMB/ECCB 2025.
