Description

Hosted a research visit by Jinzheng Ren, a visiting research student in Computer Science at the Australian National University, from mid-November 2025 to mid-February 2026. Jinzheng has collaborated closely with me for over four years through research visits and remote collaboration spanning Monash University, EMBL-EBI, and subsequently the University of Bath.

During the visit, Jinzheng was a major contributor to multiple ongoing projects, including “Defining protein embedding resolution enables biological organisation and discovery”, the development of the PhageProfiler framework, and modelling approaches for 3D, real-time imaging of mammalian embryonic development. In addition, he supported teaching and research activities, including providing support for undergraduate capstone projects. The visit enabled sustained research mentoring and deeper integration into the research and teaching activities of the group.
