The British Council in Turkey has been supporting EURAS – EURASIAN UNIVERSITIES UNION which was launched in 2008, EURAS is the union covering universities and other higher education institutions within the Eurasian region. EURAS is a non-profit international association, promoting cooperation among over 110 universities from all across the West and Central Europe, Balkans, Caucasus, Middle East as well as the whole of Asia and working for the global advancement of educational standards in the Eurasian region.EURAS, as one of the fastest growing higher education associations, connects universities and all the higher education institutions belonging to different geo-political and cultural backgrounds and seeks ways to enhance their dialogue and exchange of best practices.
EURAS organizes EURIE - EURASIA HIGHER EDUCATION SUMMIT every year. Annual Conference of EURAS, EURIE is the meeting point for higher education institutions, service providers and stakeholders to network and form new connections. From new connections, come new collaborations and partnerships. Partners sharing ideas and best practices spark innovative thinking in global education. EURIE 2021 Summit Conference Program is designed to address current issues in internationalization of higher education and to cover key topics in higher education management. In 50+ sessions of plenary talks, panels, seminars, roundtables and workshops, you can improve your knowledge, exchange ideas and be inspired.
Last year’s event attracted more than 2.000 participants. They will organize EURIE 2021 Summit online due to Covid-19 circumstances between 3-5 March 2021. Each year, the British Council in Turkey hosts one or two panel sessions at EURIE Summit.
