Description

Department Learning and Teaching Quality Committee. The Department Learning, Teaching, and Quality Committee (DLTQC) at the University of Bath plays a key role in ensuring the quality and enhancement of learning and teaching within the department. Its responsibilities include:

Curriculum Development and Approval: Overseeing the development, approval, and review of new and existing academic programmes to ensure they meet high-quality standards and align with university and national guidelines.

Assessment and Feedback: Ensuring assessment practices are fair, transparent, and effective, and that feedback supports student learning and development.

Quality Assurance and Enhancement: Monitoring and reviewing academic standards and the quality of teaching through processes such as annual monitoring, student feedback, and external examiners' reports.

Student Experience: Addressing student concerns, ensuring their voice is heard in committee discussions, and taking steps to enhance the overall learning experience.

Policy Implementation: Implementing and communicating university policies related to teaching, learning, and quality, ensuring departmental compliance.

Innovation in Learning and Teaching: Supporting and encouraging innovative approaches to teaching and learning, including the use of digital tools and blended learning strategies.

The DLTQC acts as a bridge between the department and the university's broader quality assurance structures, contributing to continuous improvement and upholding academic excellence.
