After COVID - CARE LAB (Creating Adequate Residence for the Elderly - Learning Across Borders) was initiated by a team of 8 lecturers and language specialists from 5 European universities who have joined forces to create a virtual learning space in which you are invited to contribute on a common project with peers from other disciplines.During this five-day workshop, we will focus on one main theme: housing for the elderly. The idea emanated from a team discussion on the many architectural considerations and steps to be taken in post-pandemic societies.
This lab is an experiment both for you and for the organising/teaching team. It is a way of implementing internationalisation at home, when physical travel is made difficult by the current pandemic. It is also a way of promoting global citizenship when nationalism, intolerance and fake news are on the rise. It is an exercise in openness to different values, norms and perspectives.
I assisted in organising the entire course, served as the English Language Support throughout the week, and Advisor on student final presentations.
