Presented a paper at the Comparative and International Education Society Annual Conference titled “Who Welcomes Whom? Understanding Socio-Economic Disparities in Students’ Support for Equal Rights for Immigrants.”

The presentation examined socioeconomic inequalities in adolescents’ attitudes toward immigrants’ equal rights using data from the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS 2022). The study applied a multilevel Oaxaca–Blinder decomposition approach to distinguish the extent to which the socioeconomic gap is explained by differences in individual resources, school composition, and differential effects across socioeconomic groups. Findings showed that the gap is largely associated with inequalities in civic knowledge and school stratification, while differential returns play a comparatively limited role.

As presenter and lead researcher, I developed the theoretical framework, methodological approach, statistical modelling, and comparative analysis across participating countries. The study contributes to research on civic education, educational inequalities, and democratic attitudes among adolescents.
