A Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) is an online event hosted on Reddit that enables individuals from around the globe to ask questions and engage with experts about their work. Participating in a Reddit AMA gives researchers the opportunity to connect with a worldwide audience, gauge their opinions on your work, respond to unexpected inquiries, and explain the significance and appeal of what you do.

In this public engagement session, I shared my thoughts on Hong Kong’s policy of Biliteracy and Trilingualism and how it led to stratified learning experiences. This was an essential investigative area as the quality of learning experience not only had an immediate impact on how well students did at schools/universities academically, socially, and psychologically, but also played a crucial role in shaping students’ aspirations and future careers. The conversations had also touched on my previous work about a review of the willingness to communicate (WTC) and a mixed-methods research proposal on Cantonese- English bilinguals in Hong Kong.
