Description
As Associate Editor for the new **AI in Applied Linguistics** section of *Applied Linguistics*, I help shape the journal’s editorial direction in this rapidly developing area. The section provides a permanent home for rigorous, theoretically informed, and critically engaged research on the implications of artificial intelligence for language use, learning, communication, assessment, research, policy, and society.
My role involves supporting the development of high-quality scholarship that moves beyond the evaluation of individual technologies and contributes durable insights to the discipline. I work with the editorial team to identify significant emerging research, oversee the peer-review process, support authors in strengthening their contributions, and promote methodological rigour, theoretical depth, ethical awareness, and international diversity in AI-related applied linguistics research.
